Observe monitor panel to track the tank levels as they fill.
Don’t dump the black-water tank until it is at least half full.
Don’t leave the black-water tank valve open when hooked up at a campsite. This will cause liquids to drain, leaving solid waste behind to harden on the bottom of the tank.
- Remove the sewer hose from the rear bumper and its adapter from storage compartment.
- Remove the holding tank outlet cap and connect sewer hose. Extend the hose to the opening of the dump station, which is usually a hole in the ground.
- Connect adapter and place the opposite end of the hose into the hole. It will be necessary to prevent the hose from extending past the recommended distance by using a foot, the lid or possibly a rock to hold it.
- Drain the BLACK tank first so the “soapy water” from the gray tank can clean the residue from the hose. Pull the handle marked BLACK or the larger of the two handles.
- Once the BLACK tank has completely drained, flush the toilet with about 2-3 gallons) of water to rinse the BLACK tank.
- Close the BLACK tank valve.
- Pull the handle marked GREY or the smaller of the two valve handles.
- When the GREY tank has completely drained, raise the hose where it is connected to the RV and keep the hose elevated while, hand-over-hand, moving towards the opposite end of the hose. This will help in draining the hose.
- Close the GREY tank valve, detach and store the sewer hose and replace the cap on the outlet pipe.
